Animals have astonishing and unique ways to adapt to their environment. I have always been fascinated with animals (with a background in marine biology and years of experience as a zookeeper) and hope to leave you a little bit smarter and a little bit more excited about nature with each video.

Why Do Birds Sit on Electric Wires?
Why do birds choose such a dangerous place to sit? We learn the shocking truth. Please subscribe to continue learning what makes life AWESOME: BioBush.tv/subscribe
First we learn why most birds are not in danger at all when they sit on an electric wire. Then we learn which birds have serious problems from electricity.
I think there are two main reasons why birds sit on electric wires:
1) It's up high, making it a great place to look around to find predators, prey, other birds, whatever they want.
2) It's up high, so it's safe from ground predators.
Some people propose that the wires being warm helps the birds stay warm in the winter. I think this is a minor factor at best, because birds have countercurrent heat exchanges in their feet that help them conserve heat. If they just wanted to get warm, they should choose a shelter in a tree. But the wires being warm is a small bonus on top of the other factors listed.
I hope this answers a question you may have had!

Even city pigeons (Columba livia) live an average of six years
does this mean birds are more attracted to colors related to violet/ purple?
These are also called mealy worms. They are used for fishing and some people eat them.
Excellent ❤
A seagull sounds more majestic than a freaking bald eagle
you sound like a nice school teacher
Condor when it when a fly condor flies, a condor has to fly, and they eat dead animals. Those supposed to be a stink because their rings are more sensitive, looking like a dinosaur to us. They are not stink. They are real big
The Jacanna fathers are incredible fathers
The nests are usually made to look as though they are an unorganised pile of some sort of rubble or just random bits of things, so that predators looking from the sky wouldnt be able to recognise it as looking like a nest and will not pay attention to it. They hide the eggs in plain sight which i think is a cool anti predator method
I am not sure that the ones you indicates as scapulars are all scapulars. If we follow the more lateral ones of that group you marked we see that they start under the marginals. Does that mean that they're actually tertials/humerals? Because scapulars can't grow from underneath marginals, can they?
Beautyfull photos ❤
Emus look like dinosaurs
Now please find a t-rex
These bitesized videos are always interesting. Cheers for making them
Would this explain dragon bones ? And why we can’t find any traces of them ?
Why do parrots have four toes also with cuckoo birds like Asian koels
It's funny that velociraptor is smaller than a turkey
Only legit animal communicator in history was Solomon the son of David, who had a full blown dialogue with a hoopoe, and he understood the speech of the ants.
Imagine looking like an absolute unit only to sound like a feminist 💀
Thank you. We are using this for homeschooling!!
You forgot about AWEBO
Nothing to add but here's a comment for the big algorithm in the sky.
So? There's more then one way to skin a cat and there more than one way to be blue.
Fun fact: the closest dodo relative is the pigeon
Thank you for identifying bird sounds along with showing the bird. Bellaire is the favorite of this group.
Tiger budgie? Pin pls? Not forcing you to!❤
CHICKEN and EGG which came first?? I was asked which came first CHICKEN 🐔 and EGG 🥚 My answer was different from Abunawas' answer. Different from the Professor's answer. Different from the doctor's answer. Different from other people's answers. MY ANSWER IS THIS: Bring it here. I mean eggs and chicken. Then I said this. The chicken came first before the egg. Because chickens existed before eggs. That's why the egg is still 1 day old. Meanwhile, the chicken is 22 weeks old. So first the chicken Then the one who asked this What I asked First Which came first, Chicken and Egg?? Then I answered like this. In ancient times, Tyrannosaurus rex existed first, then Tyrannosaurus rex evolved little by little until it resembled a chicken. Then it evolved again and again until it became the Perfect Chicken Then the person said Long ago When the Tyrannosaurus rex had evolved into the perfect chicken Then which one came first? Chicken and Egg Then I answered: It's been a long time. If that's what you're asking, which came first, the chicken and the egg? Then I answered: If the chicken and egg have the same date, month and year, of course the chicken comes first. Because the age of the chicken is older than the age of the egg, of course the chicken takes priority. However, for example if you ask about the egg in the year 1000 versus the chicken in the year 1500, then is it the chicken or the egg first? Yes, obviously the eggs come first. Because the egg was there first. That was five hundred years ago before chickens existed. Then the person asked again. Which comes first, the egg with the little chicken inside the egg itself? I answered this: Actually, the egg and the little chicken inside the egg are not the same. Because when an egg is just removed from its mother, the contents inside the egg are still a thick white-yellow liquid, then after a few days inside the egg there is a thick white-yellow liquid. turned into a little chicken. So the Egg with a little Chicken in it is the first Egg ✓
You: Yo eagle. How you doin'? Bald Eagle: "🚪"
Just because you guys are clasifying something as not horn it dosen't mean it isn't
You had me rotating my head like one of those rotating fans.
Yeah if diving down is considered "top speed" then I can go faster than Usain Bolt... Once.

You can tell something about the chicken from the egg. That's interesting
A lot of sightings just in this comment section. I saw one too. Yeah, it was uh… big. Had an ivory bill and was pecking on some wood. Yep. 100% sure.
Fascinating❤The robin sitting on its eggs in my porch topiary rests in the dark with its eyes open and lets me look from the close by window. But. Come daylight she flies off immediately when I attempt to gaze in the same window locale. So beautiful. So amazing❤ Thank you for sharing.❤
As a native of South Dakota, I heard stories about the red-neck pheasant being chosen to attract hunters to the state as part of the tourism industry.
I watched one work a tree just 20 minutes ago.Dothan Alabama
My son just saw one. We looked it up and he said 100% that's it. He said it was the size of a chicken.
This is really cool. I always wondered why birds sound so different. Even while watching this video and writing the comment i here the sound of many songbirds out my window. Nice
